Portland Rescue Mission provides more than 230,000 hot meals a year and is expecting a 15 percent increase this year alone. When just $1.88 feeds one man, woman or child, your gift of $76 will provide 40 meals for the holiday season. In addition to providing a hot meal, the mission also offers emergency shelter, 24-hour restrooms for men and women, mail service, clothing, referral services, recovery care and job training.

D.R. Horton Teams Up with Portland Trail Blazers for Grand Opening
In order to celebrate the Phase 2 Grand Opening of the D.R. Horton neighborhood Windswept Waters, Edge Multimedia coordinated a fun family event that occurred on March 13, 2011. With the new partnership with the Portland Trail Blazers, the team alum Jerome Kersey made an appearance with two BlazerDancers and Blaze. While they distributed autographs and took photos with fans, families were able to enjoy a barbequed lunch compliments of NW Natural Gas, visit the tents of 95.5 The Game and 99.5 The Wolf to play games and win prizes, and tour the homes.
Home Owners Donate to the Homeless
As Edge Multimedia client D.R. Horton works to pull in potential home owners to their neigborhoods throughout Oregon, they also realize that not everyone is blessed with the security of home. With the cold weather arriving early this year, homeless men, women and children in the Portland area have struggled to keep warm. This holiday season, D.R. Horton asks others visit their neighborhoods for a good cause! Donate a blanket to benefit Portland Rescue Mission, and take part in the holiday festivities including photos with Santa Claus, Christmas cookies and hot cocoa. Additionally, numerous radio stations are coming out to support D.R. Horton by giving out prizes!
Radio Promotion Brings NW-REI Student Experience to Life
Edge Multimedia partners with KUFO to follow two NW Renewable Energy Institute students throughout their experiences in the six month program. As the students gear up to earn their certification as a wind turbine technician, they will record monthly interviews that will help listeners find their own inspiration to pursue a renewable energy career change. The interviews are included in on-air mentions, as well Ditch’s Dirty Work on the KUFO website.
