‘Tis the season for doing good and CBS Celebrities were out in droves promoting Edge Multimedia’s client event, the Portland Rescue Mission Give Hope Telethon, airing on November 16, 2011 on local Portland CBS affiliate, KOIN Local 6.
Half-Time at Jeld Wen Field … Go Timbers!!
Edge Multimedia coordinated the half-time event for the May 25th Portland Timbers versus AFC Ajax game on behalf of D.R. Horton. The crowd cheered as our four contestants dressed in pirate garb -complete with an eye patch- dribbled a soccer ball around treasure chests, took a shot on goal, and then shouted “D “AAR” Horton, Go Timbers” in their best pirate voice!
The event was timed and our fastest competitor was crowned the winner! Congrats to Ted N Tracy III for winning the grand prize: a pizza party with a Timbers player hosted by D.R. Horton.
Portland Rescue Mission Asks Others to “Give Hope”
In the midst of the holiday season, Edge Multimedia client Portland Rescue Mission raises awareness and funds for Portland’s homeless men, women and children. By teaming up with local radio and television stations, PRM broadcasts success stories of lives that have been touched and changed forever by the Mission. With a goal in mind of raising meals, the series of events allows PRM to meet the basic needs of Portland’s homeless, and take the first step to building relationships with their guests and moving toward recovery.
Promotions and Events: Connecting the dots to meaningful branding
What’s so great about promotions and events? Should I bother?
We know that this question rings loud in your mind when confronted with the idea of doing special promotions or events for your business. Our answer? It would be a waste to pass them up. The reality is there is positive momentum and substantial benefit to your brand brought about in a unique way through the use of promotions and special events. These effects far outweigh the relatively small amount of work that it takes to put these promotions together. The concept is tried and true, and the proof is measurable.

On Thursday, April 29th, our client Northwest Renewable Energy Institute (NW-REI) was selected as the Start-Up of the Year by the Vancouver Business Journal.
By the end of 2010, NW-REI expects to teach as many as 576 students the technical skills necessary to service, repair and maintain wind turbines. NW-REI’s wind turbine technician training program is poised to become a crucial learning center for the green industry in the Pacific Northwest, offering monthly starts for its six-month-long renewable energy program.

This is some very cool national exposure…
This is some very cool national exposure for Vancouver, WA. Here is the story aired by NBC’s Today Show. They spent quite a bit of time with our friends at Ice Cream Renaissance in Uptown. Nice job Jason and Brandon!
Because no one should have to sleep in their car
We are so thankful to work with Portland Rescue Mission and play a small part in the incredible work that they are doing to help save lives in our community. Here’s a recent PDX TV Report that we arranged through our partnership with KPDX TV and our friend Chloe Houser.
