Well, persistence pays off, and, while a mid-page 1 ranking is nice, we’re not ones to settle for anything less than the top. The Safeway Foundation Supports Portland Rescue Mission
What does The Safeway Foundation, one of the largest grocery retailers in North America, and Portland Rescue Mission have in common? They each have a strong desire to care for hurting and hungry families in the greater Portland area.
Since 1949, Portland Rescue Mission has had a tireless commitment to breaking the cycle of homelessness. As part of this commitment, it provides up to 700 hot meals a day every day of the year to homeless men, women and children. In addition to feeding them, it also provides, shelter, clothing, addiction recovery and life skills training to equip hurting people to get back on their feet. Most of all, Portland Rescue Mission is helping real people move from a state of hopelessness to complete life recovery.
Renaissance Homes Teams Up with the Boys & Girls Club
As one of the top builders in the Portland area, Renaissance Homes is proud to be involved in The Ultimate Open House New Home Tour, specifically designed for homebuyers interested in new construction. As part of their involvement, Renaissance Homes asks potential homebuyers to donate books at their participating locations April 28 through May 6, 2012, and in return, be entered to win an iPad. The books will be distributed to Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area.
